This sampling kit is suitable for the analysis of Grease/Semi Fluid lubricants.
Included in the cost we will perform a “Standard Suite” of tests as defined below.
Results to be presented as a .pdf report to the clients email address as noted on the sampling ticket.

A Grease Sampling Kit contains:
- 1 x OCLS Marked Bottle, Approx. 60ml
- 1 x OCLS Sample Ticket for Details of the sample
- 1 x Bottle Label
- 1 x Plastic Bag for Sample Bottle
- 1 x Jiffy Bag for postage
- 1 x Prepaid postage return label (for use with the Jiffy Bag ONLY)
Upon return of the sample kit to the Laboratory, the included analysis per standard suite is as follows:
- Observations (Appearance, Contamination, Condition)
- Ferrous Wear Index
- ICP of Common Wear Elements & Additives (ASTM D5185)
- Water content by Karl Fisher Water Titration
We also offer a vast array of other tests than listed above. If you require additional tests to be performed (such as Dropping Point, Worked Penetration, 4-ball mean hertz load, etc), or a more bespoke enquiry about your sample, please contact the Laboratory.
Additional testing is not included in the typically expected 2-6 day turnaround and may take longer to complete and can be subject to additional costs.
* Access to our online reporting service "OilSpy" may be provided for repeat customers, though prior discussion with the laboratory is required to set this up.
