As the festive season approaches, we would like to inform you about our upcoming shutdown period during the Christmas break. In alignment with our regular practices at OCLS, our business operations will be temporarily suspended from approximately lunchtime/early afternoon on Friday, December 22nd 2023, until January 2nd 2024, encompassing the week between Christmas and New Year, including any subsequent bank holidays.
Please take note of the following details:
- Closure Dates: OCLS will be closed for business from Friday, December 22nd, until January 2nd.
- Sample Processing: We will make every effort to ensure that samples received before Thursday, December 21st, are processed, interpreted, and reports dispatched via normal methods before our closure for the break. However, whilst we will endeavour to complete any samples received on the Thursday & Friday as soon as possible, please be aware they may not be processed before the shutdown, and subsequent completion and report distribution will occur after the break, in line with our normal working day turnarounds.*
- Sampling Kits, Web Orders, and Enquiries: To receive a response before the break, kindly submit any requests for Sampling kits, web orders, and general enquiries by Thursday Morning. Requests received Thursday Afternoon or Friday will be processed as soon as possible, though there may be a delay, and in that case, you will receive a response once we reopen. Requests received during the closure period will be processed upon reopening.

*Please note that Bacteria/Mould Growth testing for fuel analysis, requires up to 5 days without interruption to complete, and is therefore exempt from this schedule. Samples requiring this testing and received after Monday during the last open week will undergo these tests once OCLS reopens in the New Year.
